or how to use the material of this project?

The material is divided into 5 categories. These categories are in a logical order that we are using with our pupils.

Let’s read!

You can find many publications for children divided into 5 subjects (Environment, European Union, Development aid, Languages, Nutrition). You can choose a book and start reading it in the classroom or you can tell the pupils to read a book at home for the next lesson.

Let’s watch!

There are PowerPoint presentations of the content of each publication. These presentations are useful when you want to read the book in the classroom. For the fairy-tails (Hope for the Kayakos, A present for Timmy, Blossom lane etc.) you could have a role-play game in the classroom. Also, the pupils can easily use these presentations for reading the book at home.

Let’s listen!

Soon we are going to upload the audio version of each publication. We believe that pupils like audio books very much and they can improve their skills on listening.

Vocabulary

We chose some words that might be difficult to understand by the pupils. In this category you are going to find all these words of each publication with its meaning in Slovak and Greek.

Let’s play!

After completing the reading, the listening and the comprehension of the unknown words, the pupils can play games and have both fun and knowledge! We have prepared four types of games: multiple choice, fill in the gap, taboo and sketch-game. A few words for each game:
-          multiple choice: choose the correct answer
-          fill in the gap: filling the gap with the word or verb in the right form
-          taboo: you give a card to a pupil (or a group of pupils) and the pupil have to describe in one minute the word without using the “not to use” words
-          sketch-game: the pupils have to draw the word as quickly as possible

e-class

This is the category in which we post all of our exercises that pupils have to do for homework or during short-time projects in the classroom. You can be inspired by the types of exercises here and create yours as well.

Links to discover

A list of useful websites for pupils is waiting for you! Most of them are websites developed by the European Commission or other European Institutions or bodies.
